Nestled along the stunning Northern Irish coast, this retreat offers a blend of relaxation and personal growth. Over three days, you will engage in three powerful workshops with Sarah Travers, each carefully crafted to help you reconnect with yourself and build resilience. Start your day with an invigorating yoga session on the beach, breathe in the salty sea air, and let the rhythm of the waves calm your mind.

In addition to these enriching workshops, indulge in creative pursuits like landscape painting, guided by the natural beauty that surrounds you. Experience personal restorative time, allowing you to unwind and reflect on your journey. Evenings are filled with connection and laughter, from a lively games night to the soothing melodies of local musicians.

A highlight of the retreat is an exclusive cooking demonstration by the celebrated Paula McIntyre. Learn, taste, and savour as Paula guides you through a culinary experience, culminating in a gourmet meal prepared in front of you, showcasing the finest local ingredients.

Accommodation

Experience ultimate relaxation at Downhill Beach House, a stunning seaside retreat previously featured on BBC’s B&B by the Sea. Nestled right on the beach, this beautiful location offers panoramic ocean views and a tranquil setting that invites you to unwind and reflect. Whether you’re gazing out at the waves or enjoying the peaceful surroundings, Downhill Beach House provides the perfect environment for rest and rejuvenation during your retreat.

On-site accomodation options are very limited and are on a first come, first served basis so get in touch to secure your first choice before it’s gone!

Meals

Indulge in a culinary journey during the Reflect and Empower Women’s Retreat, where each meal is a celebration of nourishment and flavour. Start your day with a wholesome breakfast, setting the tone for wellness and relaxation. Enjoy gourmet lunches and dinners prepared by a local catering company, featuring the finest local ingredients. On Saturday night, experience something truly special with an exclusive cooking demonstration and meal crafted by celebrity chef Paula McIntyre. Please inform us of any dietary needs at booking to ensure your meals are tailored to your preferences.

Paula McIntyre has appeared on many television programmes, including Ready, Steady, Cook, A La Carte, Summer Season and Inside Out. She has also had her own BBC programmes, Taste for Adventure and Paula McIntyre’s Hamely Kitchen.

Workshop Facilitator

SARAH TRAVERS

Sarah Travers is a journalist, presenter, trainer and media coach, based in Northern Ireland. Sarah began her career with BBC Northern Ireland after completing a degree in broadcast journalism at the Nottingham-Trent University, first in BBC Radio Foyle before joining the Radio Ulster news bulletins team in 1997. Sarah’s perhaps best known for her role as a tv news anchor on BBC Newsline over a thirteen year period where she also fronted the weekly Family Focus slot, Lifeline, The Balmoral Show and Children In Need.
Sarah also presented ‘The Magazine’ programme on UTV and ‘Made in NI’ on BBC NI.

In 2015 she set up her new training business, Bespoke Communications, with her business partner Camilla Long. She is passionate helping people and organisations tell their stories through media appearances and keynote presentations and developing strong leaders of the future. She is an ILM trained and accredited coach.Sarah is also in demand as an event host and currently presents two podcasts “The Public Eye” Business Podcast and “The Lens” for Business In the Community.
She’s a mum of two grown up children.

Transportation:

Travelling from abroad?  No problem, please contact us give us a call/WhatsApp on (+44) 0789 820 8540 and we would be happy to arrange transportation for you from the airport or your hotel straight to the retreat venue.  Please note that this will incur an extra cost.

Terms and Conditions: 

Please note our cancellation policy: There will be a £150 admin fee if you cancel after booking; £400 cancellation fee within 60 days of the retreat date and £850 cancellation fee within 30 days of the retreat.  No refunds can be given to cancellations made less than 14 days prior to the retreat date. 

Please note that information about the event and venue are subject to change and cancellation.

Occasionally, an event may have to be cancelled or postponed. We will inform of you of any changes and cancellations as soon as possible via email and you will receive a full refund.

Unfortunately, we cannot be held responsible for any resulting costs you may incur for travel, accommodation and any other related goods or service or other compensation.

We will confirm the final details of the event, at least 30 days before the start date.

Demo and Dinner - 3 Course Meal with Celebrity Chef Paula McIntyre

Prepare to embark on a culinary odyssey unlike any other with our exclusive demo and 3-course meal prepared by celebrity chef Paula McIntyre. Renowned for her nourishing local cuisine, Chef Paula will demonstrate your first course as you gather round to learn some tricks of the trade. Then settle down with your fellow retreaters as your main course and dessert are served!

Guided Heritage Walk - Mussenden Temple
8.30am - 9.30am

Discover the rich history and stunning beauty of Mussenden Temple on our guided heritage walk. Perched dramatically atop a cliff overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, this 18th-century temple offers breathtaking panoramic views and a glimpse into Northern Ireland's past A perfect opportunity to connect with nature, soak in the coastal scenery, and breathe in the fresh ocean air.

What's the best way to stay informed in the weeks and months leading up to the retreat?
Join the WHATSAPP group.  After booking, we will invite you join our Retreat WhatsApp group; this is where you will be sent all relevant information, including maps, videos, pictures, etc.  You will also get a chance to meet and chat to your fellow retreaters and start making connections with the people you'll be making lasting memories with.
What should I bring?
- Yoga clothes (if partaking in the morning beach yoga) - Comfortable shoes for walking - Rain jacket and waterproof shoes or boots - Layers! (Sweaters, flannels, warm jackets -- be prepared for chilly evenings) - Power adapter for electronics (make sure it's the one with 3 prongs for Ireland & UK) - All toiletries - You don't have to bring your yoga mat (but you can if you'd like)
Do I have to sign the waiver? 
Yes.  You will not be allowed to attend the retreat without signing the waiver form.  You will be sent the form when booking; once you have signed and returned the waiver form will you be formally registered.  Failure to sign the waiver form will result in your place being lost and incur any cancellation fees as stated above. 
How can I pay in installments?
Just give us a call or drop us an email and we'll set up a payment plan with you that suits your monthly budget. This is a small retreat with limited capacity so we can work individually with each person to relieve any financial strain.
