This 90 min webinar covers all aspects of cultivating safeness in supporting clients to transition to online therapy.
It includes practical guidance about setting up the online platforms and therapeutic contracts. Coupled with a focus on using the techniques from Compassion Focused Therapy with clients to enable explicitly cultivate safeness in the virtual room, providing grounding containment and emotional regulation for clients at this deeply triggering time.
This webinar also includes ideas for working creatively with the use of objects to enable a continuation of some more complex trauma work. The session concludes with an overview of ways to manage closing the therapeutic work which is sensitive to the needs for transitioning points between therapy and home life.

Kate Lucre is a Birmingham based Compassion Focused Therapist and Supervisor specialising in the use of CFT for complex trauma, personality and relational difficulties for groups and individuals. She is the regional supervision coordinator for the Compassionate Mind Foundation and also runs workshop for the Foundation and across the UK on CFT for Groups and Compassion Focused Staff Support and Supervision.
Kate offers CFT supervision in groups and individually, including a monthly international Supervision Group for therapists involved in the provision of CFT groups. She has published data on Compassion Focused Group Psychotherapy and is currently completing a PhD in CFT at Birmingham University evaluating a 12 month CFGP programme for people with severe personality disorder. Kate is also involved in a number of UK wide research projects developing and evaluation Compassion Focused Staff Support Initiatives.
Kate Lucre and Neil Clapton have been developing using a Compassionate Kit Bag with their Compassion Focused Therapy groups to great success. Deirdre Fay interviewed Kate to explore the subject, which will soon be published as a paper. Kate explored the stimulation of courage as well the the Three Flows of Compassion.
